Women’s Chorus
Women's Chorus is open to any female student in grades 9-12 wishing to learn more about singing along and in a choir. This enthusiastic and fun group of singers performs a challenging and entertaining array of treble choral music. This group does not require an audition.
Men’s Chorus
Men's Chorus is open to any male student in grades 9-12 wishing to learn more about singing along and in a choir. This energetic and talented group of singers performs a challenging and entertaining array of men’s choral music. This group does not require an audition.
Concert Chorus
Concert Chorus is Gaither High School's premier vocal ensemble comprised of singers in grades 10-12. This dedicated and talented group of singers perform an advanced level of choral music and often perform outside of the school. Singers in this group have excellent attendance, great attitudes, a hard work ethic and a desire to perform passionately. Singers must complete a rigorous audition process involving sight-singing, musicianship, and a vocal audition.
SHOWCASE
Gaither High School’s SHOWCASE has been making music and entertaining audiences since 1985. Thirteen vocalists sing and dance to pop music of many genres and eras, backed by a live band consisting of two guitars, two keyboards, drums, bass guitar, and brass. The instrumentalists and vocalists collaborate to work out their own unique musical arrangements and choreography, and four full-time student technicians are responsible for setting up and running the sound system for this superior rated group. The students in SHOWCASE are required to maintain an exemplary GPA and attendance record, and many of them fulfill student leadership roles in academics, athletics, and other on-campus activities. SHOWCASE does numerous performances throughout the school year, not only at Gaither events and in the Northdale community, but all over the Tampa Bay area.Past SHOWCASE groups have performed at the Governor’s Reception, on local television, at the Straz Center, and at FMEA conferences.
